OK so I was a little younger and skinnier in this photo.

I grew up in a town called San Dimas, in Southern California. I was the youngest in my family (2 brothers and 1 sister). My mom always made us kids take Judo, Gymnastics, Tap Dancing, and Piano lessons. My Dad was the President of a company that was a major stockholder of Paramount Studios.

My Mom & Dad were not thrilled that I wanted to be a stunt performer, so they arranged it for me to meet  a retired Stuntman (his name was Jack, but for the life of me can't remember his last name). Jack was run over by a wagon during the filming of a John Wayne movie severely injuring his leg (that's why my Dad wanted me to meet him to try and scare me). I became even more interested in the business after our meeting.
So my Dad said, "if your going to do this lets go learn how not to get hurt". So he introduced me to Boyd "Red" Morgan and that is where I got my first lesson in stunt work.
Even though my Stunt career was short, it will always be an experience that I will cherish. I would like to pass this on to those wanting to get into Stunt work. As "Red" Morgan said to me "Don't give up, stay focused on your goal, get use to hearing the word no, and remember there is a line a mile long behind you of people trying to get their big break, make them wait until you are done"

You will need to get in and meet the other Stuntmen and women in order to kick that door open. Please listen to what they have to say because, they have been there and know what they are talking about!
